If you’re buying a new car in 2025, odds are high that you’ll take a look at the vehicle’s window sticker (also known as the Monroney Sticker). Window stickers are federally mandated to be displayed on all new cars, trucks, and SUVs. Used vehicles however are a different story.
Knowing that the used vehicle you’re looking at has all the features and options you want is much more difficult than you would assume. If you ask the dealership for a copy of the original window sticker, don’t be surprised if they give you a dumbfounded look. Having the original window stickers for a used car is a rarity.
That’s why we set out to provide the perfect solution for car buyers and sellers looking for the original window sticker for nearly any vehicle. Let’s take a look at how to get a free window sticker in 2025.
What Is the Window Sticker For a Car?
The window sticker, or Monroney label, shows key details like MSRP, fuel efficiency, and standard and optional features, safety scores, and fuel economy ratings when available, and more. Since the passage of the Automobile Disclosure Act of 1958, these window stickers have been required for all new cars in the U.S.
For car buyers, the window sticker shows all of the essential information about the car in one convenient label. For sellers, having the window sticker helps to show potential buyers that you’re serious about providing any and all information that they may like to know about the car. For other drivers, it’s simply great to have all of your car’s key features in one spot.
Window stickers have evolved over the years to include dozens of data points that are meant to help buyers and sellers make informed decisions. Here are some of the most important facts included on each car’s window sticker:
- Vehicle make, model, trim, and description
- Vehicle Identification Number (VIN)
- Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP)
- Standard and optional equipment with pricing
- Destination charges for transportation and dealer prep
- EPA fuel economy ratings for city, highway, and combined driving
- Crash test safety ratings from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA)
- Emissions data, including greenhouse gas scores
- Fuel cost estimates for one year and five years
- A whole lot more…
As you can see, window stickers are full of useful information. Now, let’s look at how to get your window sticker easily, and without spending a penny.

This site will allow you to get 10 stickers/month for free per email address. It covers some of the models not listed above. After 10 in a month though, you’ll have to pay for a package.
Actually that is not entirely correct. it is still limited to the manufactures listed here unless you want to pay for them or their premium service. so not helpful at all.
Not true, this is a gimmick to get you to pay for the service.
This is a scam.
Free for $5 for one sticker
For Monroney window stickers I use
https://www.withclutch.com/window-stickers
This works for Audi, Chrysler, Dodge, Fiat, Hyundai, Infiniti, Jeep, Kia, Lexus, Porsche, Maserati, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Ram, Scion, Subaru, Toyota and Volkswagen.
Don’t abuse it though!
Does not work for Lexus I tried several Lexus vins and ZERO were supported.
This page immediately got bookmarked for my car searching purposes. What a great source of information! Thank you.
As usual, CarEdge doing a great job for car buyers!!!
If someone is desperate for a brand not in this list, MonroneyLabels charges $8 per sticker: https://monroneylabels.com/
While not providing the true Monroney Sticker, you can find the complete build specifications for a Mercedes by entering the VIN at https://www.lastvin.com/
Your readers should know that WithClutch (and other organizations that provide the same service) do not and cannot provide the original window sticker for any vehicle, unless they’re standing next to the vehicle with a camera. Instead, what they do is to re-create the original Munroney sticker from publicly available information formatted to look like the actual Monroney sticker. I’m not accusing this well-intentioned organization of dishonesty, and there’s no reason to suspect any dishonesty. But it’s important to know that the actual window sticker ‘might’ contain additional detail that might matter to a buyer.
Hey Steven! I run WithClutch, and just to clarify some of your comments. The window sticker we generate is 50% of the time from the original OEM and IS the 100% the true to life Window Sticker. Some OEM’s don’t have the original PDF or records in their database so we recreate the label from the OEM build codes (Toyota brands, BMW, Mercedes Brands, GM). Hope this is helpful and just to clarify.
Nice to see you here on the blog, Chris! Thanks for chiming in.
Hi Chris, wondering where I can go to retrieve / RE-create a 2013 Cadillac we’re buying?
And no site here works without paying. Link to get Kia window sticker is dead.
You don’t have a URL for Honda?
I have been getting mine from Monroneylabels.com. They charge $9.99 each. Small price to pay to double check original MSRP and specs, but it can quickly add up. Just checked the WithClutch link and that is $5 for the Mini I am looking at 🙁
I wish we had a better solution for you 🙁
Hyundai link doesn’t work.
Corvette anyone?! Try this link and add the Corvette VIN at the end. I dunno if it works on old, old ones, but the C8’s do.

THIS NEEDS TO BE ADDED TO THE ARTICLE!
These manufacturers should have their heads examined for not providing this for free. I will only help the resale value of their cars. And they should be honored any cares enough about their products to look for the origninal Monroney for nothing more than fun
Although this is a third party site, it communicates directly with Ford and I use it frequently to view Ford factory window stickers!

I work for a car dealership and we use https://app.velocityautomotive.com/windowsticker, when we cant get a link from Carfax. It is pretty decent. Someone highline cars are missing equipment packages, but it is rare. Now, we do pay for this and for Carfax, but absolutely necessary for us to appraise cars. So if you anyone who works at a big dealership, you can always ask them to one for you.
The Hyundai website just says forbidden 403* even after entering the VIN. It might be regionally locked or no longer valid.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We’re on the search for a working link!
I found a Subaru of America website for free Subaru Monroney stickers:

Matt, thanks a bunch! We just bought a ’22 Outback and I was searching for a source. Made my day, friend!
