About the role

We're hiring a Business Development Associate to be the operational engine behind our partnerships motion. Our BD leadership focuses on sourcing, negotiating, and closing partnership deals. Your job is to take it from there: get the partner contracted, onboarded, launched, and operating cleanly so the deal actually delivers on what was sold. Partnerships only generate revenue when both sides execute. You're the one who makes sure CarEdge executes on its side, every time.

This is a foundational role. You're going to build the playbook, run the day-to-day, and make sure that when a deal closes, it actually starts producing revenue within the window we promised. You'll work closely with our BD leadership, with Consumer and Dealer teams on integration questions, with Legal on contracts, and with Finance on the economics of each deal. You'll report into the Head of Commercial.

What you'll own

  • Partner onboarding. From signed contract to live partnership, you own the process. Kickoff calls, integration walkthroughs, asset handoffs, training, and success criteria. You make sure every new partner has a clean ramp.
  • The onboarding playbook. You build it, refine it with each new deal, and make it repeatable. Different partner types (affinity, B2B, white-label, co-brand) get different versions of the playbook.
  • Operational liaison. You're the day-to-day point of contact for active partners on asset requests, integration questions, reporting cadences, and status updates. You triage and resolve, and escalate only what needs escalating.
  • Deal documentation and tracking. Every partnership has terms, deliverables, milestones, and revenue mechanics. You track all of it in one place so the company always knows where each partner stands.
  • Cross-functional coordination. Legal on contract execution, Finance on revenue share mechanics, Consumer and Dealer teams on integration work, and Marketing on partner-facing assets and co-marketing.
  • Pipeline support. When BD leadership is in active conversations with new partners, you support the diligence, the materials, and the deal-shaping work. You'll build the case studies, the partnership decks, and the reference materials that close deals faster.

Who you are

  • 2-4 years of business development, partnerships, account management, sales operations, or customer success experience. Time at a partnerships-heavy company (fintech, marketplaces, SaaS with co-sell motions) is a strong plus.
  • Operationally minded. You love building process.
  • Project manager mindset. You can hold multiple deals in flight at once without losing track. You know how to set milestones, drive deadlines, and unblock partners and internal teams without becoming a bottleneck yourself.
  • Comfortable with external relationships. You'll be the day-to-day face of CarEdge to partner organizations. You communicate clearly, professionally, and warmly, and you build trust quickly.
  • Detail-oriented. Partnership deals live or die on the details: who pays whom, when, and for what. You read contracts carefully, track deliverables precisely, and flag mismatches before they become disputes.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and founding-team velocity. The systems and processes don't exist yet. You build them.
  • Automotive industry experience is a plus, not a requirement. Many of our partners will be outside auto (financial services, membership orgs, fleet operators), so cross-industry comfort matters.
  • Strong written communication. Partnership memos, status updates, onboarding documents, and performance reports. Your writing is how the company stays aligned on where every partner stands.
