According to CarEdge’s August 2026 incentive scan, 53 new models across 19 brands offer 0% APR financing this month. The best overall 0% APR deals are the Kia EV9 (0% for 60 months or $10,000 cash), the Nissan Frontier (0% for 60 months or $4,500 cash), and the Ram 1500 (0% for 60 months or $3,500 cash). On most top offers, the free rate is worth 11 to 15 percent of the vehicle’s price in avoided interest. Compare that interest savings against the cash-back alternative on each offer and take whichever puts more money in your pocket.

Here’s what most car buyers don’t know:

  1. A 0% APR offer is a distress signal from the brand and a deal opportunity for you. Manufacturers give away financing when cars pile up on lots, not when they’re selling.
  2. 0% APR is real cash in your pocket, worth 11 to 15 percent of the sticker price in interest you never pay.

CarEdge has done that math for every 0% APR offer in this August 2026 guide. We pulled every offer in the market and estimated how much interest each one saves you versus financing at today’s average rate. Then we checked each offer against CarEdge’s Slowest Selling Cars list to see how long that model actually sits on a dealer lot before it sells. For the live, always-current list of offers, see CarEdge’s 0% APR deals page.

CarEdge’s rule of thumb: the longer a model sits on dealer lots, the harder you can negotiate. Under 45 days, expect to pay close to market price. Past 90 days, the dealer is paying interest to keep that car, so ask for a discount below market on top of the 0% offer. Past 150 days, you set the terms. The Days on lot column in every table below is that leverage, measured.

What are the best 0% APR deals in August 2026?

Not every 0% offer makes this list. The 12 deals below pass two tests: the financing terms are strong, and the car itself is worth owning. The Est. interest saved column is the number nobody else gives you: what the free rate is worth versus financing at today’s average new-car rate, shown with the percentage of the vehicle’s price it represents. On most of these it lands between 11 and 15 percent. That’s a discount you get before you negotiate a dollar off the sticker.

*Estimated interest saved assumes 20% down and financing the balance over the offer’s term, versus an average new-car rate of roughly 6%. Longer terms save more raw interest. Your actual savings depend on your loan amount, term, and credit.

Which brands offer 0% APR in August 2026?

Mazda offers 0% APR on 9 of its 11 models this August, the highest share of any brand, according to CarEdge data. Ford is close behind at 9 of 13, and Nissan is at 5 of 11. When a brand puts 0% financing on nearly its entire lineup, that signals inventory pressure, not generosity: Mazda’s models average 76 days on a dealer lot before selling, and Ford’s average 69.

CarEdge’s analysis shows 0% APR offers cluster on slow-selling vehicles. A 0% rate is an inventory signal, not a gift, and that’s exactly what makes it useful to shoppers who know how to read it.

Now look at who’s not on the list. Toyota offers 0% APR on only 2 of its 22 models in August 2026, both slow-selling bZ electric variants, per CarEdge’s incentive scan. Toyota’s cars sell before they need incentive support, so there’s no reason to subsidize the rate. The same holds for the fast-selling Korean and Japanese models. The absence of a 0% offer is often a sign the car is in demand enough that it doesn’t need the help.

The takeaway for August: the deepest zero-percent deals are clustered in trucks, aging EVs, and Mazda’s whole lineup. If you want a fast-selling hybrid or a hot Toyota, you won’t find 0% here. That’s a feature of the data, not a gap in it.

The brands offering the most 0% APR deals in August (Mazda, Ford, Nissan, and Kia) are the same brands CarEdge expects to be most negotiable over Labor Day weekend (September 7, 2026). Today’s zero-percent overload is a preview of where September’s best deals will be.

Best 0% truck deals

Full-size and mid-size trucks are the heart of the 0% market this month, and they stack a free rate on top of heavy inventory you can negotiate against.

  • Ram 1500: 0% APR for 60 months, or $3,500 cash. At a 79-day median on lot, Ram is overstocked, so negotiate a dealer discount before the incentive even applies. This is the strongest full-size truck play in the market. Confirm current terms on Ram’s offers page.
  • Chevrolet Silverado 1500: 0% APR for 60 months, or $4,250 cash. A 41-day median means it moves better than the Ram, but 0%-for-60 plus a cash alternative is real money either way.
  • Nissan Frontier: 0% APR for 60 months, or $4,500 cash. The best mid-size truck deal in the market. The cash at Nissan’s below-market alternative rate often beats the 0%, so run both.
  • Ford F-150: 0% APR for 38 months, or $3,500 cash. Shorter term than the others, but F-150 inventory is deep, so the leverage is in the negotiation.

Best 0% EV and plug-in deals

The electrics are where the biggest total support sits, because these are the cars sitting longest.

  • Kia EV9: 0% APR for 60 months, or $10,000 cash. A three-row electric SUV with $10,000 on the hood and a still-reasonable 34-day turn. One of the strongest all-around EV deals of the month. Confirm current terms on Kia’s offers page.
  • Kia Niro EV: 0% APR for 72 months, or $10,000 cash. A full six years of free financing, or $10,000 off a $31,000 crossover, nearly a third of the price.
  • Hyundai Ioniq 9: 0% APR for 60 months, or $10,000 cash. At a 242-day median on lot, this three-row EV needs to move, which is exactly why the support is this deep. (Worth noting: the lease deal on this one is even stronger. More on that in our lease guide.)
  • Mazda CX-90 and CX-70 PHEV: 0% APR for 72 months, or $5,000 cash. Plug-in hybrids with the longest zero-percent term available and real cash behind them. Confirm current terms on Mazda’s offers page.

Best 0% SUV and family deals

  • Nissan Murano: 0% APR for 60 months, or $5,000 cash. The biggest Nissan cash offer, on a freshly redesigned midsize SUV.
  • Nissan Pathfinder: 0% APR for 60 months, or $3,500 cash. A three-row value leader against pricier rivals.
  • Hyundai Santa Fe: 0% APR for 60 months, or $3,000 cash. Free financing on one of the more compelling three-row values in the segment. Confirm current terms on Hyundai’s offers page.
  • Jeep Grand Cherokee: 0% APR for 36 months, or $4,500 cash. Shorter term, but $4,500 is real money on a mainstream SUV.
  • Chrysler Pacifica: 0% APR for 36 months, or $5,500 cash. At a 113-day median, the minivan is sitting, and $5,500 reflects it.

The standouts

  • INFINITI QX80: 0% APR for 63 months, or $10,000 cash. The deepest total support of any 0% deal in the mainstream-luxury space: roughly $13,000 in avoided interest on the free rate, or $10,000 cash if you’d rather take the discount up front.
  • Lincoln Aviator: 0% APR for 50 months, or $4,000 cash. Lincoln is running 0% on 3 of its 4 models, a clear sign the brand is fighting inventory, and the Aviator is the pick of them.

Which 0% APR deals should you avoid?

A zero-percent rate on a car that isn’t selling isn’t a gift. It’s a warning about resale value. A few 0% offers this month come on models sitting so long the free financing doesn’t offset the depreciation risk:

  • Buick Envision: 0% for 60 months, but a 162-day median on lot and just 12% monthly sell-through. One in eight units moves each month; the rest sit. The free rate is there because almost nobody’s buying.
  • Ford Mustang Mach-E and the GM EVs (Blazer EV, Equinox EV) show low or zero rates but are among the slowest-selling vehicles in the entire market. Free financing doesn’t fix a car that’s hard to resell.

The rule holds: the rate tells you the cost of the loan, but the days-on-lot tells you the cost of owning it. Check both. Before you commit to any model on this list, check its resale outlook on CarEdge’s depreciation rankings and its cost of ownership.

Days-on-lot figures throughout this guide come from the August 2026 update of CarEdge’s Slowest Selling Cars list, which tracks live dealer inventory. As with all our slow-seller rankings, we exclude ultra-low-volume exotics and just-launched models, where the sample is too thin to rank fairly.

Can you combine 0% APR with cash rebates?

Usually not. On most August 2026 offers, buyers choose either the 0% rate or the cash rebate, not both. If you’re financing a large amount over a long term, 0% often wins; on a smaller or shorter loan, the cash can be worth more. Run your specific numbers. The FTC’s guide to financing or leasing a car covers the fine print to check before you sign either way.

Can you still negotiate the price with a 0% APR offer?

Yes. The 0% rate applies on top of whatever discount you negotiate off MSRP; the incentive never replaces the negotiation. On the overstocked trucks especially, the negotiation is where the real money is.

Days-on-lot is your leverage, and it’s why we publish it next to every deal:

  • Under 45 days: the car is moving, and the dealer has little reason to bend on price.
  • Past 90 days: the dealer is paying floorplan interest on that car every month it sits, so a discount that moves it is cheaper for them than keeping it.
  • Past 150 days: walk in knowing you’re doing them the favor.

Anchor your offer to what the car’s inventory position says, not what the sticker says. If you’re new to this, start with CarEdge’s guide to negotiating the out-the-door price.

Don’t want to negotiate? CarEdge’s car-buying experts will handle the entire negotiation for you: let CarEdge negotiate your deal.

Is a 0% APR offer ever a bad sign?

It can be. A 0% offer on a fast-seller is a genuine bonus. A 0% offer on a vehicle sitting 150+ days on dealer lots signals weak demand, which also means weaker resale value. The manufacturer is telling you something; listen.

How CarEdge calculates what 0% APR is worth

For each deal, we estimate the interest you’d pay financing the same car at today’s average new-car rate, then subtract what you’d pay at the offer rate. The difference is money that stays in your pocket. Inventory figures (days on lot, sell-through) come from CarEdge’s Slowest Selling Cars list. On most of these deals it lands between 11 and 15 percent of the car’s price. That’s a discount you get before you negotiate anything off the sticker, which is why we treat the free rate as real money, not a marketing line.
