About the role

We're hiring our first dedicated Account Manager to own the relationship with our Certified dealer cohort. You'll join at the moment we're moving from a beta cohort of ten dealers into national distribution. Your job is to make every Certified dealer feel like CarEdge is the single most valuable vendor relationship they have. You'll onboard new dealers, drive dashboard adoption, run monthly business reviews, handle DTI grade disputes when they come up, and catch at-risk dealers before they churn.

This is a high-leverage role. You'll own approximately 100 dealer relationships at scale, which means you need to be exceptional at prioritization, comfortable building processes and tools as you go, and energized by the founding-team nature of the work. You'll report into the Head of Account Management (we're hiring this role in parallel) and work closely with our Dealer Product, Sales, and DTI teams.

What you'll own

  • Onboarding and activation. Every new Certified dealer hits a day-30 activation milestone that you define and own. You build the playbook, run the meetings, and earn the trust early.
  • Dashboard adoption. You drive daily and weekly usage of the CarEdge dealer dashboard, work with Product on what's working and what isn't, and make sure dealers actually use what they're paying for.
  • Lead handling SLAs. You define and enforce the expectations for how dealers respond to consumer leads. Slow response times hurt the marketplace and hurt the dealer.
  • Monthly business reviews. You run monthly QBRs with every Certified dealer, walking through their DTI grade, lead volume, conversion outcomes, and what's next.
  • DTI grade disputes. When a dealer challenges their DTI grade, you own the resolution process. You stay calm under pressure, work with the DTI team on the underlying data, and protect both the dealer relationship and the methodology integrity.
  • At-risk dealer playbook. You catch dealers before they churn, diagnose the cause, and either save them or surface the structural issues back into Product and Strategy.
  • Voice of the dealer. You're the loudest internal voice for dealer feedback. Dealer NPS, Dealer NRR, and dealer activity rate are your primary metrics.

Who you are

  • 3-5 years of customer success, account management, or partner management experience, ideally in B2B SaaS with a mid-market customer base.
  • Automotive retail experience is a strong plus. If you've worked at a dealer group, a dealer software vendor (vAuto, CDK, Dealertrack, RouteOne, and similar), or an automotive marketplace (CarGurus, AutoTrader, Cars.com), we want to talk.
  • Comfortable owning roughly 100 accounts. You're systematic about prioritization, you build process when none exists, and you don't wait for someone else to define your job.
  • Excellent at hard conversations. Dealers will disagree with their DTI grade. You stay calm, you listen, you find resolution, and you don't compromise the methodology when the data is right.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and founding-team velocity. You'll define your own role in many ways. This is exciting to you, not exhausting.
  • Strong written and verbal communication. You will be the face of CarEdge to people who matter most to our business.
