Our Acura RDX Depreciation Analysis and Recommendations

The Acura RDX fares better than its bigger brother the MDX, but is still in the middle of the pack among luxury models. If purchased new, you're better off with a Lexus or Mercedes, but if you can find a good 2016 at a reasonable price, it may be worth a look. Acuras are great on maintenance costs, however.

The 2016, 2015 & 2017 Acura RDX model years are currently the best values.

On average, expect to pay only 53% of the original cost with 67% of the vehicle's lifetime remaining for a 2016 RDX. That gives it a Net Used Value score of 13.58 which factors in annual maintenance costs, price decline, reliable years left and available inventory.

Also consider the 2015 & 2017 RDX model years. Those currently have a generally low risk of any significant depreciation over the next several years.

Own a 2016 Acura RDX?

While we would advise holding onto this vehicle for a few years, that's not always the plan. Dealers have access to similar figures so they know that your vehicle has a low risk of depreciation.
